How to checkout an ebook

  • Type your search into the search box or browse by category on the left side of the page.
  • Click on the title of the book you want.
  • To look at the book, click on "eBook Full Text" on the left side of the page.
  • To check out the book, click on "Download This eBook" on the left side of the page.
  • You will have to sign into your EBSCO account or create an EBSCO account.
  • To create an account click on "Create a new account" on the popup box.
  • Once you have signed into your account, you can choose to checkout the book for 1-7 days.
  • Click on "Checkout & Download" once you have chosen your checkout time.

Ebook for PC

  • Type your search into the search box or browse by category on the left side of the page.
  • Click on the title of the book you want.
  • To look at the book, click on "eBook Full Text" on the left side of the page.
  • To check out the book, click on "Download This eBook" on the left side of the page.
  • You will have to sign into your EBSCO account or create an EBSCO account.
  • To create an account click on "Create a new account" on the popup box.
  • Once you have signed into your account, you can choose to checkout the book for 1-7 days.
  • Click on "Checkout & Download" once you have chosen your checkout time.
  • If you do not already have Adobe Digital Editions it will ask you download the software
  • Create an Adobe Digital ID, which is seperate from the EBSCO account.
  • Adobe Digital Editions is the required software to view and manage checkout materials.

Ebooks on Apple

Your device must be running iOS 3.2 or higher.

  1. Download and install Bluefire Reader.
  2. Create an Adobe Digital Editions ID.
  3. Next, use the Safari browser on your device to access EBSCO eBooks and locate an eBook you would like to download to the device.
  4. Click the Download (offline) link. If you are not logged into your ebscohost folder, you will be prompted to do so.
  5. Select a checkout period and click the Checkout & Download button.
  6. When prompted, tap to open the eBook with the Bluefire app.

Ebooks on Android

  1. Download and install Bluefire Reader.
  2. Create an Adobe Digital Editions ID.
  3. Using the browser on your device, access EBSCO eBooks and locate an eBook you would like to download to the device.
  4. Click the Download (offline) link. If you are not logged into your ebscohost folder, you will be prompted to do so.
  5. Select a checkout period and click the Checkout & Download button.
  6. When prompted, tap to open the eBook with the Bluefire app.
