This library is a congressionally designated depository for U.S. Government documents. Public access to the government documents collection is guaranteed by public law. (Title 44 United States Code)
McFarlin Library has been a 'partial depository' for federal government publications since Jan. 10, 1929 as well as serving, since 1979, as a depository for publications produced by the State of Oklahoma.
Most of these documents, both print and microform are housed in Government Documents, located on the Lower Level South of McFalin Library. A great deal of information from the various levels of government is now available online.
